Approach
- I can guide you through the process of creating a website from beginning to end. I will listen and engage with you to explore the different aspects of the project. We will then work together to develop costings and timescales before we begin.
- My services are available either at a fixed project cost, or on a subscription basis with flat monthly payments that include web hosting and regular maintenance.
- I work with a wide range of clients including small and medium size businesses and non-profit organisations within the world of charity, science and education.
Structure
- My focus is on clarity – creating a great looking website design involves not just pretty fonts and colours, but a careful balance of information architecture: the right pages in the right places and a clear flow of information to make the site engaging and easy to navigate. Well thought out content is also vital to ensure your message is conveyed clearly and succinctly.
- This focus extends to the unique content management system I have created. This system gives you a very powerful, cost-effective way to change every aspect of your content through an incredibly easy-to-use interface, built specifically around your website. I like to call it the zero training admin system since it is so intuitive that you don't need any training to use it (though of course help is available should you need it). It is in use by dozens of happy clients today – why not ask them what they think?
Partners
- While we are exploring a project, we will establish if we need any to bring in any external partners – copywriters, journalists, photographers, video production, branding support, marketing, SEO etc – to best achieve your objectives. I have a roster of reliable partner companies I work with regularly, ready and able.
- The work of partner organisations can be integrated into the budget and project managed by me (to ensure everything is completed on schedule and on budget), or can be engaged directly.
- Clients have different needs and tastes, and I understand my particular understated aesthetic is not to everyone’s taste. So I often work with other designers to develop the most appropriate look and feel for a project.
